SEC Filings

13F/A (Amendment)

Corrected or supplemented version of a previously submitted 13F filing.

A 13F/A is a post-submission amendment to a 13F filing already on file with the SEC. Common reasons are wrong CUSIPs, forgotten positions, incorrect share counts or the late inclusion of holdings that had previously been granted confidential treatment.

There are two kinds of amendments: "Restatement" fully replaces the original filing, while "New Holdings" only adds new rows. In aggregated databases like Whaleboard, a 13F/A should overwrite the original 13F-HR so that analysis is always based on the latest version.
